Friday Dec 4th at 6:00pm (doors 5:00pm) - Angus Bowmer Theatre

Headliner: Aparna Nancherla / Feature: Fast Ronald / Host: Carl Lee

Epic Ashland and Storytown Ashland Present: The festival kicks off Friday night with a local host Carl Lee welcoming a night that wastes absolutely no time getting good. Taking the stage first as our featured act: Fast Ronald. A Texas native, Fast Ronald is a can't-miss talent whose comedic material is spreading fast — a rising voice with a knack for owning the room. His layered background — culinary school and years grinding LA open mics — feeds directly into his deeply personal comedy style, and a pandemic-era deep dive into storytelling helped him unlock a natural deadpan voice all his own.

Then, headlining Friday night: Aparna Nancherla - one of the most distinctive comic voices working today. Nancherla has built a remarkable career spanning standup, television, and writing — with recurring roles on BoJack Horseman and Corporate, and staff writing credits on Late Night with Seth Meyers. She has appeared on Conan and Comedy Central's The Meltdown with Jonah and Kumail, and Variety named her to its "Top 10 Comics to Watch" list.

Show ends by 7:30pm

Friday Dec 4th at 7:00pm (doors 6:30pm) - Resistance Wine Company

Headliner: TJ / Feature: Lindsay Adams / Host: TBA

TJ a Haitian-born stand-up comedian currently based in NYC. He has a very laid back, smooth, and conversational style. He jokes about race, society’s idiosyncrasies, and the inherent contrast between life in Haiti and America. He has made appearances on Gotham Comedy Live (AXS TV) and Good Day New York (FOX). TJ is a paid regular at the Comedy Cellar and Gotham Comedy Club in NYC. He has performed all over the world. He recently returned from a European tour where he performed in English and French. TJ is also an Op-Ed contributor for The New York Times. You can watch his special, JANUARY 3RD, on Amazon and listen to his album, SON OF HAITI, on all audio platforms.

Lindsay Adams is a stand-up, writer, actress, and amateur baker from New Jersey. She’s the host of weekly stand-up shows, Good Heroin and The Monday Show which have been featured in LA Weekly and the Netflix is a Joke Festival. She’s the host and creator of Bake Stuff with Lindsay, a chaotic “baking comedy experience” that pairs special guests with pastry ingredients, led by Lindsay’s hurricane-style of hosting. EVOLUTION OF A KISS BY CINDY ROJAS

This triumphant solo comedy chronicles three generations of Latinas as they experience their first kiss.

What would you do if, after years of keeping your own journal, you discovered the journals of your mother and grandmother as teenage girls? You’d compare everyone’s first kiss of course! In this hysterical and painstakingly honest comedy, we get to join three young women as they navigate the choppy waters of passion, desire, and teenage dorkiness from 1930s Mexico to modern day San Diego. Cindy Rojas brings these girls - and the hilarious characters that fill their worlds - to life in vivid color as we see a first kiss evolve through time and across cultural and sexual borders. Based on the first-hand accounts found in journals and oral recordings, it just goes to show that nothing is funnier than the honest truth.

“Cynthia Rojas’s one-woman show, Evolution of a Kiss, is sizzling!...by the show’s end, the audience wants more…as the show’s rip-roaring humor and crafty storytelling is brilliantly propelled by the versatile performance of its leading lady.” – D. Rangel, LA Theatre Review

Standup comedy with Eeland Stribling

Eeland Stribling is a former wildlife biologist, two-time New Faces winner at Comedy Works, winner of the 2025 Don't Tell Comedy competition, and recently selected for Kevin Hart's standup competition on Netflix, Stribling has been called the "Black Steve Irwin" — and it fits. He tours the country teaching fly fishing and telling jokes, and his hit series Comedians on the Fly takes your favorite comics out on the water to get tangled up and maybe catch a fish. Eeland's comedy is warm, wildly funny, and guaranteed to send you home with a fresh opinion on just about everything. A perfect fit for Ashland — and an absolute don't-miss.

The Hamazons performing “Sci-Fi: The B Movies”

Inspired by such 1950’s movies as The Day the Earth Stood Still, Invasion of the Body Snatchers, and The Blob, The Hamazons will deliver a full-length improvised story with science, suspense, and humor. Climb aboard the maiden journey into unknown landscapes, cities of the future, colossal mutations, and extraterrestrial beings among us- all through the lens of a pre-moon landing, 1950’s, “red scare” world. “Science Fiction- The B Movies” will be in the style of long-form improvisation, which means The Hamazons will use their hive mind to create one long story - completely unscripted. The Hamazons, also known as “The Warrior Princesses of Improv,” feature Cil Stengel, Eve Smyth, and Kyndra Laughery. This trio brings smart, character-driven long-form improv to the stage with quick wit, genuine connection, and fearless play. Their scenes unfold organically, weaving together sharp observations, playful puns, memorable quips, and unexpected moments that keep audiences laughing and leaning in. Drawing on years of performance experience, they create fully improvised worlds where relationships matter as much as the punchlines. Whether they're exploring the absurd or uncovering the hilariously human, their chemistry shines through every scene, proving that the best comedy comes from listening, trusting, and saying "yes, and." Expect clever callbacks, heartfelt moments, delightful wordplay, and a show that's never the same twice.

Bake Stuff Live with Lindsay

The most unhinged baking show you’ve never seen.

Bake Stuff with Lindsay is a live, audience-immersive baking experience where chaos is encouraged and we actually eat the results. It’s a fever dream for anyone who’s ever wished TV bakers would loosen up, get messier, and curse a little (a lot) more. Along the way, we attempt to answer important questions like: Do feelings matter more than the recipe? and Does the 5 second rule count with liquids too?

What to expect:

• Live baking (in real time, with real stakes)

• Audience involvement throughout the show (games, prizes, FUN)

• SPECIAL GUESTS, commentary, and mild spiraling

• Questionable decisions, emotional detours, and laughter

• Dessert served (assuming nothing is completely destroyed)

Couplet presents “Honey Honey Moon Moon”

Comedy band and married duo Couplet brings their award-winning Fringe show to Ashland! With catchy songs and Muppet-y energy, they tell the story of the queer Jewish wedding that almost didn’t happen. Guitar and fiddle in hand, they fought off bed bugs, wildfires, and one very judgy couples therapist to bring you this hour-long musical comedy. Debuted at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival on their actual honeymoon. Directed by husbands Eric Michaud and Chris Grace (Superstore, Dropout).

Hailing from Los Angeles, Marnina Schon (she/they) and Micah O’Konis (they/them) are both classically trained in violin & guitar and sing in perfect harmony, even when they’re fighting. Having been described as “this generation’s Flight of the Conchords” and also “like my annoying aunt’s annoying friends”, last year they went on to tour Honey Honey Moon Moon (directed by Chris Grace & Eric Michaud) and were invited to perform at various prestigious venues worldwide.

The duo is best known for their queer anthem “People Think We’re Straight” and the cautionary tale about their couples therapist “Jacquelyn Denfark.” Even P!NK jumped on the bandwagon by reposting their viral holiday song “Hot Hanukkah.” Couplet has been seen in the New York Times, the Guardian, and heard on BBC Radio 4. The New York Post called them “that comedy duo”. They perform regularly at UCB, Dynasty Typewriter, The Elysian, and other theatres around LA and across the US, and have created sketches with the likes of Josh Gad, Michaela Watkins and Seth Rogen.
